Grant Angus Loved your voice, attitude and sound from Shiveree days. Then you seemed to disappear till I stumbled on your contribution to the wonderful Cy Colman compilation which reminded me of you. Then I sought out your solo CD Weeping Cherry and found your Xmas record with the, I now know, equally wonderful Holly! And now found your Eye Knee collective. Exciting days I feel! Is there anything I’ve missed? Favorite track: Kindness of Strangers.

about

Released this time last year while in lockdown at @goathousestudio, “Kindness of Strangers” became the theme song for our Live From the Goat House Sunday streams. Today, in the interest of a bit of housekeeping, this track(and it’s accompanying video sweetness by none other than our dynamic duo @themarkofnancy), shall live the rest of it’s days under the fair umbrella of @eyekneerecords. Here, you can all enjoy, share and if you’re feeling saucy, BUY. Remember buying music helps us to: make more music, more videos and the occasional car payment! So don’t be shy and come get what’s good at Eye Knee. And stay tuned for a brand new freshie out next Friday 4/16! Tell yer friends.🖤🥧

lyrics

When we have to leave too soon under a big blue moon
Too sick or small to see the dangers
When we are cold or needing of a hand or a feeding
Sometimes we have to rely on the kindness of strangers
When the hurricanes blow away all that we know
When the fires have burned up all our pages
When the wars have torn the mothers from their born
They might have to rely on the kindness of strangers
No matter who we are
From so close and so far
We’ve been brothers and sisters through the ages
So if you’re broke or beat
I pray everyone you meet
Be the kindest and most beautiful of strangers
When the darkness is at the door
When our home’s not a home anymore
Then we gather up the ones of tender ages
And we run off into the night with hope our only light
And we pray that we might find the kindness of strangers

Cause No matter who we are
From so close and so far
We’ve been brothers and sisters through the ages
So if you’re broke or beat
I pray everyone you meet
Be the kindest and most beautiful of strangers

God bless the kindest and most beautiful of strangers
God bless the kindest and most beautiful of strangers
God bless the kindest and most beautiful of strangers
God bless the kindest and most beautiful of strangers
